When it comes to glamorous design, layering and adding a bit of glam is key. There are so many kids furniture brands that are on top of the latest trends making it easy to come up with a gorgeous design concept. A glam nursery is all about glitzy items and pretty details. Layering with drapery is a great way to amp up the feel. Not only do you want to add full draperies to your windows, try adding a drapery canopy over the crib/bed or draping fabric from a cornice above the dresser. Large satin bows on the crib bumper are always pretty and a full ruffle or scalloped crib skirt would be an eye catcher. Adding texture such as a floral ottoman/pouf or metallic shag area rug. Personalization makes the room extra sweet and you can achieve this with monogram wall letters. I’ve seen some that are in a gorgeous script font and have Swarovski crystals bordering the letters. One of my top pieces of advice when talking about glam is….always add a touch of gold! Whether it’s in the frame of your art, small accessories or an accent furniture piece, gold will no doubt take your glam room to the next level! We were SO excited to hear that the nursery we designed for Backstreet Boy AJ McLean and his wife Rochelle was featured on PEOPLE.COM!! We are so grateful to the girls over at projectnursery for including our room design in the feature. The article titled, 13 new nursery trends to try highlights the latest in design and is a great read for inspiration and ideas on your little one’s room. We are numero uno in the slideshow!! woo hoo! The design was developed around a pink and leopard color scheme. We punched up the rock star glamour factor with jeweled pillows, metallic accents and a gilded crown canopy for AJ & Rochelle’s little princess.
