Planning your nursery decor can be a major headache so I'm helping you out with step number one…wall decor! Paint, murals, wall art..oh my! There are many ways to amp up the character of your walls in your little one’s room and with four walls to work with you can really create a space that takes you to another place when you enter the door. After all, this is the one room in your home where you can really let your imagination run wild and not be criticized for it ;) . Here are 6 ideas that I've gathered to get you started off on the right foot.
Have you heard the most exciting news!? Restoration Hardware Baby & Child opened a store in Santa Monica, making my nursery decor shopping practically right in my backyard. I couldn't make it down there fast enough to see it in person and as expected, it’s gorgeous! Completely on another level. It was hard not to ooh and ahh the whole way through, it’s like a miniature wonderland. The visual merchandisers must have had a great ole time working on this showroom. If you think the merchandise is beautiful in their catalog, wait til you see it in person! I've done the leg work for you and it is definitely worth the trip. I had to see the gold crown for drapery canopy in person because it looks huge in the catalog. I debated about this for hours and finally decided to just order it. What a great decision that was, because it looked beautiful in the nursery for Backstreet girl Ava Jaymes! My only complaint about the Santa Monica showroom is that they don’t carry any in stock inventory. Almost everything has to be ordered online. Bummer…especially since I thought I was going to leave with bags of goodies. wahh wahh.
